Newark Police investigate drug-related home invasion

Newark Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m., Monday, May 23, in the 400 block of Phillips Lane.

According to police, three suspects – one of them armed with a handgun -- entered the victim’s apartment and demanded to speak with a resident of the apartment by name who wasn’t home. The suspects then searched the house and removed an Xbox, video games, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are described as a white male, an Hispanic male and a black male who was armed with the handgun.
