Parking Services announces new pay-by-plate kiosks on Laird Campus

Motorists parking in the University of Delaware’s Clayton Hall Conference Center Lot No. 7 may notice three new parking pay-by-plate kiosks located in the lot.

These kiosks are for visitors attending Clayton Hall or nearby buildings and need short term parking, according to UD Parking Services.

The kiosks accept credit card payment for parking from one hour to seven days with the motorist entering their license plate number.

Departments or registered student organizations (RSOs) can purchase parking for their guests at a discounted rate via a validation system similar to what is used in UD’s parking garages. Contact Parking Services for more information on event parking.

Continuing with virtual parking, the kiosks translate the vehicle information and parking duration to the license plate recognition (LPR) system that is used by Parking Services staff members to enforce campus regulations.

The kiosks have been installed since late May but go live officially on Friday, July 1.
