Community Service Leader of the Year

Who Does This Award Recognize?

This award recognizes an individual who lives in the residence halls and has made significant service contributions within their residence halls through their efforts on campus, within the local community or the state of Delaware, and possibly beyond. The nomination should demonstrate the nominee’s dedication and passion for service, motivation and personal ownership of one’s service contributions, and the capacity to inspire their peers and floor communities to become involved in community service while raising awareness of a variety of causes. All residence hall students may be nominated for this award, including members of leadership groups such as Service Teams, Complex Community Councils, Green Teams, and more.

Multiple awards may be given for this honor.

Any person or group at the University of Delaware may write a nomination. Self-nominations are also encouraged.

Nominations Must Include:

  • A nomination statement summarizing the scope and impact of the nominee's community service and leadership within the residential community. Nominations may range anywhere from 350 to 800 words in length.
