Minutes
May 12, 2010 minutes were approved as written.
Executive Vice President & Treasurer, Scott Douglass and Vice President for Administration, J.J. Davis discussed major developments on campus with PAC members. These include:
- New Interdisciplinary Science and
Engineering Laboratory (ISE-Lab) building currently under construction off Academy Street.
- Barnes and Noble/UD Bookstore, currently under construction, between Main Street and Delaware Avenue.
- East Campus utility plant.
- Expansion and renovation of central athletic complex on South College Avenue as well as athletic fields, adjacent to the “Little Bob” Carpenter Building behind Main Street.
- Renovation of Allison Hall.
- Projected schedule for Chrysler site.
New Business
William Fitzpatrick, Director, Supporting Services discussed changes in UD parking.
- Parking Services has become part of Facilities and Auxiliary Services and will report to Bill Fitzpatrick.
- ICE Building will eliminate 500 parking spaces.
- Discussion of Central Zone parking.
- Promotion of “Park Once,” mentality and elimination of roaming for parking spots.
- Increased gated lots for improved, predictable parking experience.
- Acquisition of new buses.
- Extended bus transportation hours.
- Retention of free parking on North and South campus lots.
