On May 9, Clayton Hall was full of members of the University of Delaware community who reveled in the spirit of the annual Celebration of Scholarship. This event takes place each year to acknowledge and celebrate the generosity of undergraduate scholarship support at the University.
University of Delaware President Patrick Harker was joined by Eric Ziady, director of athletics and recreation services, in hosting student-athletes and their benefactors for the second annual Celebration of Scholarship-Athletics reception
Members of the Delaware Diamonds Society at the Fellow level and above were invited to attend a President’s Authors Series event to hear UD faculty member McKay Jenkins discuss his recent book and to meet with the author.
More than 40 students at UD participate in the UD Student Phone Program, appealing for donations to support University programs, including scholarships, campus expansion initiatives, athletics, student organizations and all seven colleges.
