This conference provides University of Delaware undergraduates from underrepresented groups and all ethnic backgrounds across all majors an excellent opportunity to hear from dynamic speakers, meet alumni, network with employers, and find internships as well as full-time and part-time jobs. Designed to engage students before graduation as they begin to plan and pursue fulfilling careers, this conference connects students with the resources, alumni, and employers to help them reach those goals.

With a growing number of organizations interested in recruiting diverse talent, we have expanded the employer networking portion of the program into a Diversity Career Fair and Networking Event. With a full schedule of alumni panel discussions, keynote presentation, lunch, and career fair this year's Multi-Ethnic Career Development Conference is slated to attract over 250 student attendees.

Undergraduates - you don't want to miss the conference of the year! Whether a freshman or senior, this conference will provide undergraduates from diverse ethnicities and across all majors an excellent opportunity to hear from dynamic speakers, meet alumni, network with employers, and find internships as well as summer jobs. Just by attending, you could win an Apple iPad or a variety of bookstore gift certificates.

Students who have taken advantage of internships and professional development events such as this one, will be in a better position to get jobs when they graduate. So mark your calendars!

    All students attending the Multi-Ethnic Conference will be given a program including a listing and floor plan of the company participants.

Each year the conference attracts over 200 students to a day full of speakers, panelist, and UD alumni interested in making an impact in the lives of students. Representatives from various organizations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region contribute to the conference in various ways.     • Costs: Registration fees based on the level of sponsorship - click here for more information (accessible on the registration form).
    • Payment Information: We now accept payment online through Symplicity's secure payment system. Please have payment method ready when you register (MasterCard, Visa, American Express credit cards as well as checks* are acceptable forms of payment). Confirmation and invoice/receipt will be sent via e-mail after your registration has been processed. All fees must be received prior to the event.

    *Make checks payable to University of Delaware and send to the Career Services Center using the address at the top of the invoice.

    • Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations must be made by email to the events team at career-events@udel.edu. A $75 fee will be applied to all cancellations. No refunds if cancelled after the registration deadline of October 25, 2013.

    • Shipping Materials  - details are below on where to send display materials for the upcoming fair. Display items must be sent by Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

      • Send your materials directly to Clayton Hall using the address below, clearly marked with "HOLD FOR MULTI-ETHNIC CONFERENCE - 11/16". You must bring a pre-paid return shipping label so that your items can be shipped out following the conference.

      • Return shipping - All displays & materials must have a pre-paid return shipping label and a proper container. The pick-up location will be at the front registration desk and pick-up time is up until 5:00pm.  Major carriers such as: DHL, FedEx, and UPS are familiar with Clayton Hall Conference Center.

        • Employers are responsible for scheduling pick-up of all displays and materials after the event. Career Services and/or the Clayton Hall Conference Center are not responsible for ensuring that your materials are shipped after the fair.
    • Local Accommodations and Travel information
