Campuswide Test of UD Alert
November 19, 2025
UD to conduct test of UD Alert System
The University of Delaware will conduct a test of UD Alert, the University’s emergency notification system.
The UD Alert test, beginning at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, will include email and text messages and is designed to ensure that members of the University community can receive information during a campus crisis or emergency.
Individuals do not need to take any action once they become aware of the test.
All University community members should visit the University’s UD Alert website to learn more about the emergency notification system. The website also has a helpful FAQ section and provides information on updating contact information. All members of the UD community are encouraged to take a moment to register for UD Alert, the primary means of notifying the campus community about an imminent threat or emergency.
Emergencies can happen anywhere, anytime. The University of Delaware Office of Emergency Management encourages students, faculty, and staff to follow at least three trusted sources to stay informed during emergencies and other disruptions (e.g., inclement winter weather that may result in delayed campus starts or suspended operations).
