In 2018, the median annual salary was $108,610 for physician assistants. Currently, there is a shortage in many parts of the country guaranteeing employment and higher salaries for graduates.  (US News & World Report)

In May 2014, the median annual salary was $59,430 for clinical/medical laboratory scientists, based on geographic location. Currently, there is a shortage in many parts of the country guaranteeing employment and higher salaries for graduates.

    The Math Lab offers drop in hours for all students needing assistance.

  • Writing Center
    The University Writing Center offers individualized writing consultations. Student writers at any level and from any discipline may use the center at no charge. Center tutors are prepared to discuss any aspect of writing. They can help writers decide on topics, how to organize information, revise a draft, document sources, or self-edit. In addition, the center offers advice on prewriting strategies, essay exams, documentation styles, and thesis or dissertation writing.

MMSC100 Introduction to Medical Laboratory Science

Students are asked to participate in a service activity to benefit others in support of the University’s service initiatives.. Various suggested activities are available, and students can choose among those or propose their own ideas for a service project to meet this requirement. Among the various sections of MMSC100 each semester, students make a tremendous impact to benefit the community by completing activities including but not limited to:

  • Donation of hundreds of pounds of canned goods to the Food Bank of Delaware

  • Collecting and donating soda tabs to support families of sick children through the Ronald McDonald House

  • Donating blood and blood products to support the community routinely as well as at times of great need such as during the pandemic

Numerous volunteer service hours on behalf of organizations including, but not limited to:

  • Ronald McDonald House

  • UDance canning to fight childhood cancer

  • Local fire companies

  • Christiana Care and other local hospital emergency department

  • Lori’s Hands to help those with chronic conditions in the community
