Bugzilla: Reset a forgotten password

  1. Go to the UD Bugzilla login page. View Bugzilla login image

  2. Find the page section that says, "If you have an account, but have forgotten your password, enter your login name below and submit a request to change your password."

  3. Enter your complete email address (i.e. user@udel.edu) in the open field.

  4. Click the Submit Request button.

  5. You will be sent an email containing instructions and a link to change your password. Use the first link provided in the email to change your password. Use the second link provided in the email to cancel the change password request. If you do not use either link within three days, or if you login to Bugzilla successfully with your old password, then the change password request will expire.

  6. If you click on the email link to change your password, then your browser will open to a Change Password screen. View Change Password image

  7. Enter your desired password in the New Password and New Password Again fields.

  8. Click the Submit button.

  9. You should get the message "Your password has been changed."

  10. Click on the Log In link in the lower right corner of the yellow box.

  11. The UD Bugzilla login page will be presented. View Bugzilla login image

  12. Enter your complete email address (i.e. user@udel.edu) in the Email address field.

  13. Enter the password, provided in the email, in the Password field.

  14. Click the Login button.

After you login, the Search for bugs page will be presented. View Search for Bugs image To change pages, click on a link in the yellow box at the bottom of the screen.
