Community Hockey Programs
About the program
The University of Delaware Community Hockey Program offers comprehensive, year-round ice hockey training and competition for all age levels and abilities. We provide a fun, safe atmosphere at every level of youth hockey from ages four all the way up to seventeen. We are also pleased to offer special power skating and stick-handling sessions, as well as the Hockey Skills Development Center. Learn to Play Hockey
Learn to Play Hockey is provided for skaters interested in the sport of hockey but without the experience to participate in league play. Skill clinics for stick handling, powerskating, and goaltending are also offered every spring. Individual instruction is also available in the Hockey Skills Development Center.
In-House Hockey Leagues
For the skater interested in game-play we provide Cross Ice Hockey (ages
7 & Under) and In-House Hockey Leagues (ages 8 - 10 & 11- 14). Leagues are
formed in the Fall (September), Winter (January) & Summer (June).
Teams practice for 12 weeks and have 10 games during the fall and winter
season. Summer League is 10 weeks of practice and 8 games.

**Summer hockey practices on weekends in May and plays games Monday through Thursday evenings from June through August.
UD Hockey Team
The University also has a club hockey team that competes in the American
