Blue Hen Hockey Camp -- Summer 2007 
The Delaware Community Hockey Office will be bringing back a favorite hockey tradition this summer of 2007 in hosting the Blue Hen Hockey Camp. Instructors from every facet of the game of ice hockey will be working with your child to ensure their development over the 5 day clinic. Held in the Gold arena August 20-24, the clinic will utilize the collective talents of coaching staff from the UD Mens Hockey Team, UD Professional Skating Training Center, as well as current and former members of the UD hockey community.
All Skill Levels Welcome!
What will be covered:
Powerskating
Puck Control
Body Contact / Goaltending
Physical Coordination and Strength Training
Teamwork Skills / Dynamic Development
What you will need to bring:
- Full Hockey Gear
- Practice Jersey
- Swimsuit
- Daily Lunch (except on Friday)
- Gym Clothes
Camp Highlights:
Dedicated, professional training staff
Daily speed and conditioning training
Use of UD olympic size outdoor swimming pool
Written player evaluation form for each student
Competitive cost
At least 3 hours of ice daily!!!

*Puck control sessions will involve specific work for a variety of player development areas, including goaltending and body contact instruction.
About Camp Director Kevin Neeld
Kevin brings 15 years of playing and 8 years of instructional experience to the 2007 Blue Hen Hockey Camp. As the camp coordinator and a head instructor, he will be responsible for overseeing all on- and off-ice sessions.
Kevin is a four year UD Men's Ice Hockey Team member, where he played offense and defense. During his career at Delaware, Kevin received the Academic Achievement Award ('03-'04), Richard Roux Award for Most Valuable Player ('05-'06), Best Academic Performance Award ('06-'07), Shawn Garvin Lifetime Achievement Award ('06-'07), ACHA Academic All-American ('06-'07), and 2nd Team All-American from the ACHA National Tournament ('06-'07). In 2007, Kevin was the team captain, helping the team to a 4th place finish at the ACHA National Tournament. He was also the team strength and conditioning coordinator, responsible for writing an off-season training manual, and leading off-ice speed and conditioning workouts.
Kevin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a B.S. in Fitness Management and a minor in Strength and Conditioning. Next year he will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst in pursuit of a M.S. degree in Kinesiology
