Using UD's Web Proxy Server:
Reloading with the UD Proxify button

If you go to a restricted web page on the University's central sever but want to use the UD Proxify button to gain access, you can do so--but you may find this process more difficult than the one documented on the main web proxy web page.

  1. These directions pertain to you if you see an error message like the following one:
     
    You are not authorized to view this page

  2. Go back to UD's home page.
     

  3. Click on the UD Proxify button and provide your UDelNet ID and password when prompted.

  4. When UD's home page reloads, you'll see that the URL has changed, indicating that you have been routed through the proxy server.
     

  5. Type in the rest of the URL after the port number. In the example below, students are trying to gain access to the web site for CSCC355 (Computers, Ethics, and Society).
     

  6. The appropriate web page should then load.
