UD's web proxy server provides off-campus access to materials previously available only through a direct connection to the campus network.
- On-campus users and off-campus users who dial in directly to the University of Delaware do not need to use a proxy server with their web browser.
- Off-campus users who use another ISP (not UD) will need to use the proxy server to use materials whose use is restricted, by license, to University faculty, staff and students--e.g., research databases made available by the University Libraries or software available at udeploy.udel.edu.
