About George Read & Building Information
- George Read is a suite style building where two bedrooms (double or triple) are connected by a bathroom.
- The building has air conditioning and elevators.
- In George Read North each floor has a study nook and a lounge, and the ground floor has a study lounge as well as a large lounge with a projector.
- In George Read South each floor has two lounges, and the first floor has a study lounge as well as a large lounge with a TV.
- Kitchen and laundry are located on the ground floor in North and first floor in South.
- Each room includes a bed (twin, extra long), wardrobe and writing table with chair for each student.
- George Read beds are adjustable. At the lowest setting there will be 9” from the floor to the bedspring; if adjusted to the highest setting there will be 24” under the bed.
- The first floor room windows are 40” x 80”. All other floors have windows that measure 40” x 60”. All have window shades.
