Awards

Sami Nassim, Russell Complex coordinator, Office of Residence Life, was awarded the Commitment to Ongoing Learning on Racial and Ethnic Sensitivity award, Oct. 17, at the 37th annual meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers, Morgantown, W.Va.

Babatunde Ogunnaike, William L. Friend Professor of Chemical Engineering, received the Donald P. Eckman Education Award at ISA's annual honors and awards gala, Oct. 1, in Houston. The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to education and training in science, engineering and technology of instrumentation, systems and automation. Founded in 1945, the ISA is a global, nonprofit organization that sets the standards for automation, certifies industry professionals, provides education and training and publishes books and technical articles.
