Water system integrity tests planned for Laird Campus

4:38 p.m., Aug. 4, 2008--With the construction of the new residence hall on Laird Campus nearly complete, UD Facilities will test the integrity of several closed-loop water systems installed there over the summer.

A nontoxic tracing dye, approved by the Food and Drug Administration, will be introduced into the heating hot-water and chilled-water systems on Laird Campus beginning Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Facilities asks that anyone who notices any blue or fluorescent-green colored dye appearing in water anywhere on Laird Campus to call the Facilities Service Center at (302) 831-1141 with a report of the exact location.
