4 p.m., March 18, 2008--The Office of the Provost, the Center for International Studies and the Salzburg Seminar selection committee have announced UD's Salzburg Seminar fellows for 2008.

The following have been selected to attend upcoming sessions of the seminar held in Salzburg, Austria:

• Maggie Ussery, assistant professor of Black American Studies, will attend a session from April 13-18 on “Innovation in Knowledge-based Economies: Accelerating the Benefits”;
• Delphis Levia, assistant professor of geography, will attend a session from May 3-7 on “A 'Green Revolution' in Africa: What Framework for Success?”;
• Janet Johnson, associate professor of political science and international relations, will attend a session from July 10-15 on “Combating Climate Change at Local and Regional Levels: Sustainable Strategies, Renewable Energy,” and
• Stuart Kaufman, professor of political science and international affairs, will attend a session from Sept. 7-12 on “Peacemaking and Peacebuilding: Securing the Contributions of Women and Civil Society.”
