Changming He, associate scientist of hydrogeology and groundwater modeling, Delaware Geological Society, a poster, “Using Geophysical Logs and Markov-chain Method to Map Hydraulic Property,” at American Geophysical Union meeting, Dec. 13, San Francisco.

Cihan Cobanoglu, associate professor of hotel, restaurant and institutional management, with graduate students Anil Bilgihan and Kutay Kalkan, presented “An Analysis of Fingerprint Applications and Trends in Hotels,” at 13th annual hospitality/tourism graduate student conference, Jan. 5, Orlando, Fla.

Service

Carla Guerron-Montero, assistant professor of anthropology, was appointed 2008 chairperson of the Committee on the Status of Women in Anthropology for the American Anthropological Association (AAA), the largest association of anthropologists in the country. She also was appointed secretary for the Society for Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology, also a society of the AAA.
