Laird Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Feng-Yuan Zhang, post doctoral researcher, “Investigation of Copper Etching Technique to Fabricate Metallic Gas Diffusion Media,” in the Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering, available online at

Farley Grubb, professor of economics, serves on the nominations committee for the Economic History Association for the year 2006-2007.

John Krill, adjunct associate professor of art conservation, was coordinator of the international meeting, “The Alum Meeting,” of Northumbria University, UK, September2006.

Michael Gamel-McCormick, director, Center for Disabilities Studies, recently traveled to the Virgin Islands to provide technical assistance to its Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities on its grant proposal.
