Persons planning to attend Commencement are urged to arrive early, since there is a considerable amount of traffic congestion connected with this ceremony.
In case of inclement weather, car-pooling is advised because fewer parking spaces will be available.

All individuals and items entering Delaware Stadium will be subject to search, and coolers, glass containers, umbrellas and large bags will not be permitted in Delaware Stadium.
Commencement coverage, including video of the ceremony, will be available late Saturday on UDaily and on the UD home page.
3:11 p.m., May 23, 2007--The University of Delaware will hold its 158th Commencement beginning at 9 a.m., rain or shine, Saturday, May 26, at Delaware Stadium. In case of severe storm conditions, the free public ceremony will be shortened.
Commencement booklets with complete and important information, including a form for contributing to the Senior Class Gift, have been sent out to degree candidates and their families.
William P. Kupper Jr., president and chief executive officer of BusinessWeek group, a leading global business and media organization, will deliver the Commencement address. Kupper was named publisher of BusinessWeek in 1999, and president in 2000. As president of BusinessWeek, he is responsible for overseeing worldwide operations for the magazine's North American and international editions and for leading the continued expansion of the franchise including BusinessWeek Online and BusinessWeek Television.
With the exception of special-interest ceremonies, including the Army and Air Force ROTC commissioning ceremonies on Friday, most college and departmental Convocation ceremonies will be held after Commencement on Saturday at different locations on campus.
