African Students Association show slated for April 6

1:35 p.m., March 23, 2007--The Delaware African Students Association (DASA) is holding its spring semester show at 7 p.m., Friday, April 6, in the Bacchus Theatre of the Perkins Student Center. This year's theme is “Snapshot of Africa: Masks Unveiled.”

The event will showcase a play, fine arts, fashion and dances from various African countries, a musical performance and more. In addition, a three-course meal will be served to all guests.

Senior Jacqueline Niba, DASA president, said that the focus of this year's show is to raise funds for two projects with regards to education in Africa.

“We really want guests to enjoy themselves but to also leave with knowledge about the current affairs in Africa,” Niba said.

Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for students and can be purchased at the Trabant University Center and Bob Carpenter Center box offices or at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
