Jazz ensembles to perform Tuesday evening

4:32 p.m., March 19, 2007--The University of Delaware's Jazz I and Jazz II ensembles will perform at 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, in Puglisi Orchestra Hall at the Center for the Arts.

The program for the evening includes two charts by Sammy Nestico, “Get Up and Go” and “Magic Flea;” Gordon Goodwin's “La Almeja Pequena” (The Little Clam); “Mean What You Say” by Thad Jones, as played by the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, with vocal features including, “Softly As A Morning Sunrise” and “I'm Beginning To See The Light.”

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, UD staff and alumni and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or the Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
