Service

Richie Holland, manager of human resources, was appointed to a three-year term to the Delaware Humane Association board of directors and was named Delaware state coordinator for the American Association for Affirmative Action.

Carla Guerrón-Montero, assistant professor of anthropology, was appointed co-chair of the Commission on Inclusivity and Social Justice, American Anthropological Association. She also was appointed executive secretary of the Commission on the Anthropology of Tourism of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences.

Awards

Richard Wolbers, associate professor of art conservation, was awarded The University Products Award for Distinguished Achievement in Conservation at the American Institute for Conservation 34th annual conference June 17. The award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of a conservation professional who has advanced the field of conservation and furthered the cause of conservation through public outreach and advocacy.
