HR holding workshop on hiring practices at UD

4:34 p.m., Feb. 13, 2007--Due to the popularity of the UD hiring practices workshops held last fall, the Office of Human Resources is offering a spring workshop from 8:30 a.m.-noon, on Friday, March 16, in the Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center. Breakfast will be available beginning at 8 a.m.

The workshop will cover classifying a new position, reclassifying an existing position, the recruitment, employment and affirmative action processes, pertinent labor laws applying to employment and getting a new hire into the payroll system.

The session is designed for faculty and staff members who are regularly involved in the classification, search and hiring processes.

Registration is limited because of seating. Persons interested in attending the workshop should e-mail Tracey Powell in the Office of Human Resources at [trpowell@udel.edu] to register. The e-mail should include the participant's name, department and e-mail address.
