’Harry the Dirty Dog’ on Mitchell Hall stage Sunday
‘Harry the Dirty Dog’
5:10 p.m., April 12, 2007--The University of Delaware's Family Performing Arts Series presents Harry the Dirty Dog at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 15, in Mitchell Hall.

A staged production of the classic tale, Harry the Dirty Dog tells the story of Harry, a little white dog with black spots who hates taking baths. After spending a day in the dirt, Harry turns into a black dog with white spots and returns home to find his family doesn't recognize him.

UD's Performing Arts Series presents “Xiang Gao and Friends” at 8 p.m., Friday, May 18, in Mitchell Hall. World-class UD faculty violinist Xiang Gao will perform on a Stradivarius violin in this collaborative performance with pianist Howard Watkins of the Metropolitan Opera. As a member of the acclaimed China Magpie ensemble under Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Project, Gao also will be joined by classical musicians Wu Tong, Lui Lin and Hui Li, who performed a sold-out event two years ago for UD's Master Players Chamber Series.

Tickets for Performing Arts Series events are $17 for the general public, $12 for UD faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens, and $5 for students and children.

Tickets for Family Performing Arts Series events are $12 for the general public, $10 for UD faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens and $5 for students and children. A 10 percent discount is available for groups that purchase 10 or more tickets per show. Additionally, pre-performance buffets are available at the Blue & Gold Club for all shows in the Family Performing Arts Series.
