Publications William W. Boyer, Charles P. Messick Professor Emeritus of |Public Administration, The United States and Korea's Reunification, in International Area Review, vol. 8, no. 2, pages 3-20, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul, Korea. Presentations Rudi Matthee, professor of history, spoke on his recent book, The Pursuit of Pleasure: Drugs and Stimulants in Iran, 1500-1900, at Iranian-Canadian Cultural Association meeting, Feb. 5, Vancouver, Canada; Matthee also was interviewed on the topic of drugs in Iran by Washington Prism, an on-line news website. Awards Deborah Andrews, professor of English, received the Meada Gibbs Outstanding Teacher Award from the Association for Business Communication in October, recognizing her work as teacher and editor of a pedagogically oriented journal. Fleda Brown, professor of English, received the Felix Pollak Prize from the University of Wisconsin Press for her manuscript of poems, Reunion, which will be published by the press in fall 2006.
