Gretchen Bauer, associate dean, College of Arts and Sciences, Electoral Systems and Gender Quotas in Southern Africa: What Have They Achieved? What Can They Achieve? at American Political Science Association annual meeting, September, Washington, D.C. Steven Eidelman, Robert Edelsohn Chair of Developmental Disabilities, gave the keynote presentation Jan. 26 at the eighth annual LIFE conference, the largest disabilities conference in the state, Dover. Honors Fleda Brown, professor of English, manuscript of poems, Reunion, won the Felix Pollak Prize from the University of Wisconsin Press and will be published in the fall by the press. Her manuscript was one of more than 800 submitted to the contest. Service Raymond Nichols, professor of fine arts and visual communications and director of UDs Raven Press, presented to the Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond, Va., keepsake copies of Poes poems, The Raven and Eldorado, produced by the press in honor of Poes birthday. The pieces were accepted for the Museums permanent collection by Dr. Harry Poe, president of the museum.
