Reception to fete African American art exhibit Nov. 11

1:42 p.m., Nov. 5, 2004--A community reception to celebrate “A Century of African American Art: The Paul R. Jones Collection,” an exhibition of the Paul R. Jones Collection at UD, will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, in the galleries in Mechanical Hall and Old College.

Paul Jones is one of the nation's leading private collectors of works by African American artists and a University of Delaware benefactor. The exhibition displays diversity in media, subject, style and technique and is representative of the more than 1,000 works that are in the collection. The exhibition runs through June 1, 2005.
