Bill Sullivan, managing director of the hotel, said the 126-room hotel will be hiring 40 people who need to be on the job and in training approximately 10 days before the hotel opens on Tuesday, Nov. 9. He said they are already booked for the opening and beyond and expect to be up to “good occupancy” by December.

The hotel is working with UD’s Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management (HRIM) program and has hired a graduate of the HRIM program as a manager and several HRIM students on a part-time basis. Sullivan said HRIM students also are helping with the job fair.
