Wellness Center offers Express Workouts

4:53 p.m., April 28, 2005--For employees who are crunched for time and want to learn how to get a quick and effective workout in 30 minutes, the Employee Wellness Center has a new program.

It’s the Express Workout. It begins with a half-hour lecture and demonstration of how to get an effective workout in just 30 minutes.

Those who sign up for Express Workout can observe the demonstration or participate. The workout incorporates all of the essentials--cardiovascular exercise, strength training and stretching. Detailed handouts will be provided in order to do the workout at home, in the employee fitness center or at a gym.

Express Workouts at the Employee Fitness Center, located in the Carpenter Sports Building, are available on the following dates:

  • May 5, 4:30-5 p.m.
  • May 12, 4:30-5 p.m.
  • May 19, 12:30-1 p.m.
  • May 26, 12:30-1:00 p.m.

UD employees and retirees have until June 15 to use their Wellness Dollars for this fiscal year.
