‘Celebrate Women’ festival set Nov. 2

4:23 p.m., Oct. 26, 2005--Wednesday, Nov. 2, marks the “Celebrate Women” festival at UD, an event to promote female empowerment and showcase the talent of several UD women.

Sponsored by the Center for Black Culture, Haven, the LGBT Community Office, the Office of Women’s Affairs, SAGE, SOHL, V-Day, Wellspring and UD’s women’s studies program, the event will run from 6-9 p.m. in Multipurpose Rooms A and B of the Trabant University Center.

Performances will include routines by UD’s Dark Arts Performing Dance Company, spoken word performances by SPIT (UD’s Stimulating Prose, Ideas and Theories group), exhibits by several female UD art students and live music by UD alums Melissa Cox and Kelly Ricketts.
