Women’s wellness focus of April 19 talk

10:18 a.m., March 29, 2005--UD’s Employee Wellness Center will offer a lecture, “Women’s Wellness: A Conversation About Health Issues,” from 12:05-12:55 p.m., April 19, in 112 McDowell Hall.

Dr. David M. Fink, a board-certified gynecologist and obstetrician from the Christiana Women’s Wellness Center, will provide up-to-date information about menopause, osteoporosis, heart disease and various other issues related to women’s health.

"When it comes to wellness, women face unique health issues," according to Marianne Carter, Employee Wellness Center director. "This popular lecture is always informative, and provides employees a chance to ask questions about health issues which are of particular concern to women," Carter said.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a free lunch for two at Cafe Gelato. To register, go to [www.udel.edu/wellness].

Cost for the program is 10 Wellness Dollars. Employees have until June 15 to use their Wellness Dollars for 2004-05. Full-time employees and retirees receive 50 Wellness Dollars each fiscal year to use on health promotion programming of their choice.
