Wellness Wednesdays set for October 4:18 p.m., Oct. 3, 2005--UDs Wellspring is hosting a series of programs throughout the month of October called Wellspring Wellness Wednesdays. The series is designed to focus on healthy and unhealthy male/female relationships and coincides with National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, Oct. 20-26. Angela Sequin, program coordinator for Wellspring, said the series was conceived in part to bring awareness to freshmen women that they are most vulnerable to sexual assault during the first six weeks of their college careers. Part of the reason for this series is to get the word out, she said. Four Wellness Wednesday presentations are slated for October: Get the 411 on Drinking, Rape and the E.R., with nurses Karen Rollo and Karen Dougherty of Christiana Medical Center, 7-8:30 p.m., Oct. 5, Trabant University Center Multipurpose Room B; We Belong Together: How do you have a healthy relationship in college? with Chris Fariello of the Council for Relationships, 8 p.m., Oct. 12, Perkins Gallery; Belly Dancing and Yoga, 6:30-8 p.m., Oct. 19, Perkins Student Center Ewing Room, and Massage, 8:30-10 p.m., The Gallery; Whats LOVE Got to Do With It?: Dating Violence panel hosted by Miss Delaware, 5-7:30 p.m., Oct. 26, Trabant University Center Multipurpose Rooms A & B.
