Vision plan information offered at Benefits Fair

5:29 p.m., May 9, 2005--Effective July 1, 2005, pending ratification of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) collective bargaining agreement with UD, the University will offer a vision plan through Superior Vision Services.

The plan will assist employees and eligible family members with the cost of eye exams, frames/lenses, contact lenses and other vision services. The new vision plan will replace the University’s $175 Annual Physical Examination Program, which has been used predominantly for reimbursement of vision-related expenses.

Visit the Superior Vision Services representative at the Benefits Fair between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the Trabant University Center.

Or, attend a vision plan presentation at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, in Ewing Room of the Perkins Student Center to learn more.

UD’s 2005 Benefits Open Enrollment period extends through Friday, May 27. During open enrollment employees can change their benefits, check their benefit costs and confirm their enrollment for July 1 by logging on to [www.udel.edu/flexnet].
