UDWC hosts ‘Take a Chance’ fund-raiser

11:39 a.m., April 20, 2005--The University of Delaware Women's Club (UDWC) will host "Take a Chance...and Give Someone a Chance," a UD scholarship fund-raiser, from 6-10 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Newark.

The evening’s events will include a silent auction, a raffle for complimentary dinners at area restaurants and a buffet dinner featuring Tuscan cuisine catered by the Bachetti Brothers. The money raised will go to the UDWC scholarship fund, which provides financial assistance to qualified, mature women who want to further their educations at UD.

The UDWC Scholarship Fund, which has been assisting women for more than 20 years, is administered through the University of Delaware Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.

Cost is $25 a person. To reserve a spot for the April 23 event, call Sue Savini at (302) 834-3386.
