Undergrad research symposium set Aug. 10 2:01 p.m., Aug. 8, 2005--UD’s fifth annual Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium, set for Wednesday, Aug. 10, will showcase the research efforts of more than 90 UD undergraduates from the colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Marine Studies and Health and Nursing Sciences. The symposium will begin at 11 a.m., in Wolf Hall Auditorium, with a lecture by Dennis Liu, senior program officer at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. After Lius lecture and a short lunch break, the symposium will resume with student talks and poster presentations from 1-3 p.m. in the basement of McKinly Laboratory. The symposium will conclude with an informal reception with Liu, from 3-3:30 p.m., in room 061, McKinly Laboratory. The Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium is organized by UDs Howard Hughes Medical Institute Program and is sponsored by several campus units.
