Figure-skating team show set April 22 11:35 a.m., April 19, 2005--Members of UD’s skating team will dance, glide and generally ham it up on the ice during their annual show, set for 8 p.m., Friday, April 22, at the Fred Rust Ice Arena. Themed “A Night at the Movies,” the event will feature six group routines and 19 individual routines choreographed by UD student team members who will skate out their moves to popular movie soundtracks such as Rocky and Charlie’s Angels. The team, which formed in 1999 and has been performing annual shows for seven years, is managed by its members, many of whom often go on after graduation to compete regionally and nationally. The 20 members of this year’s team are Andrea Stein, Adriana Ragazzo, Ashley Crane, Kelsey Davidson, Jamie Edmonds, Kaitlyn Kellogg, Meghan Gellburd, Carolyn Hersh, Rebecca Schapell, Jessie Gant, Meghan Reeves, Kaitlyn DeRoy, Brittany Young, Shira Selis, Kandis Kovalsky, Katie Royce, Laura Stefanik, Megan Burger, Jacki Crugnola and Brenda Greene (not performing). Team coach Pam Welch and faculty adviser Harry Shipman also will make guest appearances.
