Rodney Dining Hall grand reopening Oct. 25

4:53 p.m., Oct. 21, 2005--The entire UD community is invited throughout the day, Tuesday, Oct. 25, to celebrate the grand reopening of Caesar Rodney Complex Dining Hall. The renovated dining hall features more spacious seating, enhanced lighting, a staffed deli and new food stations to make dining more enjoyable for patrons.

Rodney Dining Hall is located on West Campus, in the center of the Rodney residence hall complex. It is the second-most popular dining hall on the campus.

Meal swipe, cash, points or flex will be accepted for those who wish to dine Tuesday, Oct. 25. Cost is $4.80 for breakfast, $6.95 for lunch and $8.95 for dinner. Diners may enjoy all they care to eat.

During breakfast, from 7-9 a.m., gourmet waffles will be served. A new cereal station, called Cereality, offers morning diners a variety of cereal choices and toppings. WVUD-FM will provide a live radio feed and play music requests.

During the lunch, served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., chef Dave Brown will serve up stuffed pork loin with various side dishes. YoUDee will appear during both lunch and dinner.

From 4:30-7:30 p.m., the Deltones will serenade diners, while guest chef Mark Seyboth prepares a Southern traditions spread for dinner. A chocolate fountain will be featured for patrons who want to create their own dessert combinations.

Raffles will occur during each meal period. Prizes include two iPods, two tickets to a Dave Matthews concert and a 26-inch bike, as well as gift certificates for Quiznos, Konomi Sushi, Chick-Fil-A, a six-foot hoagie party and premium meals at Pencader Dining Hall.
