Suzanne Burton, assistant professor of music, “Assessment Strategies Using Creative Techniques,” two sessions, at the New Jersey Music Educators Association conference, Feb. 24-26, East Brunswick, N.J.

James Harvin, researcher in physics and astronomy, “Delta Orionis,” Jan. 28, at the European Southern Observatory, Santiago, Chile.

John Bishop, associate vice president, and Tracy Downs, program director, Center for Counseling and Student Development, report on UD’s Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant, at annual “A Matter of Degree” meeting, March 3-4, Tucson, Ariz.

Service

Amalia Amaki, assistant professor of Black American Studies and curator of the Paul R. Jones Collection, provided the photograph, “Blue Lady,” for the CD cover of “Roxy Re-Modeled,” a musical tribute to the legendary rock band Roxy Music.

Martha Corrozi, watershed analyst, Institute for Public Administration, was elected first president of the newly formed Delaware state section of the American Water Resources Association, which has more than 5,000 members nationwide and is an international leader in interdisciplinary water resources management, research and education.
