‘Protecting PNPI’ seminars offered Aug. 22, 23

12:45 p.m., Aug. 4, 2005--The University has embarked on a campaign to review every department’s use of sensitive personal nonpublic information (PNPI) by Nov. 1. To help UD staff learn better ways to safeguard PNPI, IT-User Services is hosting a seminar open to all University employees.

This seminar, offered at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22, and repeated at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, will review UD’s guidelines for protecting PNPI, discussing University policies that apply to PNPI, steps employees must take to safeguard PNPI and some of the issues as they pertain to electronic recordkeeping.

University employees are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns about this important set of issues to the seminars.

To request a review of your department’s computing equipment and uses of PNPI, call the Information Technologies Help Center at (302) 831-6000. To register for one of the “Protecting PNPI” seminars, visit [present.smith.udel.edu/calendar/].
