Drug technology lecture set April 14

11:52 a.m., April 7, 2005--Adam Heller, a distinguished leader in chemical engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, will give UD’s Robert Pigford Memorial Lecture at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in 102 Colburn Lab.

Heller, who is a cofounder of TheraSense, a blood-glucose monitoring system for those with diabetes, will discuss “Drug-Delivering Integrated Therapeutic Systems.”

Robert Pigford was one of the founders of UD’s Department of Chemical Engineering. His vision and leadership in the field made long-lasting contributions to the department.

The lecture, sponsored by the Department of Chemical Engineering, is free and open to the public, and there will be a reception preceding the talk at 3 p.m. on the second floor of Colburn Lab. For more information, call (302) 831-4500.
