Discounted entertainment packages

10:48 a.m., June 17, 2005--UD employees can catch several shows at discounted prices this summer and fall at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Complex, among them singer-songwriter legends Paul McCartney and Neil Diamond.

Listed below are the acts and package ticket offers.

Neil Diamond, 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12 and 13, $165 per package. The package includes a buffet from 7-9 p.m., featuring pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, domestic cheese, fruit, crackers, Caesar salad, turkey hoagies, roast beef sandwiches, roast pork sandwiches with sautéed peppers and onions and refreshments.

Green Day, 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, $99 per package. The package includes a buffet from 6:30-8 p.m., featuring pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, salad with assorted dressings, pasta salad, chicken cheese steaks, hot dogs, assorted mini cookies and refreshments.

Paul McCartney, 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Sept. 22 and 23, $250 per package. The package offers seating in the balcony press box, as well as a buffet from 7-10 p.m., featuring pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, vegetable crudités with dipping sauce, cheese, fruit, crackers, salad with assorted dressings, pasta salad, Italian hoagies, rotisserie roast beef on Kaiser rolls, chicken breast sandwiches with sautéed peppers and onions, cookies and refreshments.

Rolling Stones, 7:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, $285 per package. The package includes a buffet from 6:30-9:30 p.m., featuring pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, vegetable crudités with dipping sauce, cheese, fruit, and crackers, salad with assorted dressings, pasta salad, Italian hoagies, roast beef on Kaiser rolls, chicken breast sandwiches with sautéed peppers and onions, cookies and refreshments.

Shows that will appeal to family audiences are as follows.

Tony Hawk, 7 p.m., Friday, July 29, $25-$85, or $99 for a club box package that includes a catered meal.

Mixtape tour, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, $19-$77, or $75 for a club box package that includes a catered meal.

Spanish Riding School of Vienna, 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25, and 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, $67, $47 and $27 tickets.
