Mystery reading by UD author set March 18

1:28 p.m., March 11, 2005--Joe Anderson, who teaches writing and is a first-year graduate student in the UD English department’s M.A. in literature program, will read from his first novel, Epilogue, at 8 p.m., Friday, March 18, in 113 Memorial Hall.

A reception and book signing will be held after the free public reading.

Written from the point of view of an unassuming businessman who is murdered by a coworker, Epilogue follows the unnamed protagonist as he wanders the city looking for the reasons why he was betrayed and why his soul is still chained to the world of the living.

The protagonist does know who the killer was (Bob), and the date and time it happened (Saturday, April 4, at 10 in the morning). There are, however, many issues that must be resolved, including the delivery of a life-changing message to his loved ones. The penalty for failure is to be engulfed in madness and trapped forever in a limbo world that tempts him with images of his old life that he can never even touch.

A graduate of West Chester University, Anderson spent the early part of his life traveling extensively throughout the United States and Asia.

The book is published by Publish America and is available for purchase at [www.PublishAmerica.com] or at Lieberman’s Bookstore in Newark.

The event is sponsored by the UD Department of English. For more information, call (302) 831-2361.
