Library posts ‘Constitution Day’ web page

10:25 a.m., Sept. 7, 2005--The University of Delaware Library has created a new library web page in observance of federal Constitution Day, Sept. 17. President George W. Bush signed a bill (public law 108-447) on Dec. 8, 2004, that designates every Sept. 17 as Constitution Day.

Created by Rebecca Knight, associate reference librarian, the library’s “Constitution Day” web page includes many resources, both electronic and print, for the study of the U.S. Constitution. The guide presents selected resources relating to the Constitution and to Delaware's role in its ratification. Delaware was the first of the 13 colonies to ratify the Constitution, making it "the First State."
