Phi Kappa Phi centennial induction set May 6

12:11 p.m., April 21, 2005--UD’s Phi Kappa Phi national honor society will hold its centennial induction ceremony for more than 200 undergraduates at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 6, in the Trabant University Center Theater. The ceremony will be followed by dinner.

Phi Kappa Phi’s UD chapter, which was granted a charter Jan. 13, 1905, is celebrating 100 years of service to UD students.

New members of the faculty to be initiated at the ceremony include, Susan Groh, assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry, and Tim DeSchriver and William Farquhar, assistant professors of health and exercise sciences.

Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest and largest such honorary society in the nation. Its mission is to recognize and encourage superior scholarship in all academic disciplines.
