Horn recital set Oct. 16

4:30 p.m., Oct. 13, 2005--UD’s Department of Music presents hornist Cynthia Carr with pianist Julie Nishimura in a horn recital at 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 16, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building.

For her last solo performance at UD--Carr will be relocating to Indiana in June--she has prepared a program of horn and piano music featuring international composers, with music by Gena Branscombe (Canada), Johan Kvandal (Norway), Verne Reynolds (America), Alexander Aruntiunian (Armenia) and Josef Rheinberger (Germany). Oboist Tim Clinch will join Carr and Nishmura on the Aruntiunian piece.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3, students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices.
