Talk on Israeli withdrawal from Gaza set Nov. 16

Jacob Dallal
2:48 p.m., Oct. 18, 2005--A talk on the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza is set for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, in 115 Purnell Hall.

The lecture, which is sponsored by the Blue Hens for Israel, will be given by Jacob Dallal, deputy head of the International Press Office of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson’s Unit and frequent IDF spokesperson on CNN, Fox, BBC and ABC’s Nightline.

Involved in Operation Defensive Shield, Dallal took the first pool of reporters into the West Bank city of Jenin, was in Bethlehem during the siege at the Church of the Nativity and has escorted journalists on arrest missions in the West Bank, Gaza and along the border with Egypt near Rafah.

The free talk is open to the public. For more information, e-mail Eli Kirschner at [elijk@udel.edu].
