Talk on healthy childhood eating May 17

4:52 p.m., May 5, 2005--The next lunchtime seminar sponsored by UD’s Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, "Healthy Childhood Eating to Last a Lifetime,” a talk about how parents can instill lifelong healthy eating habits in their children, will be from noon-1:15, Tuesday, May 17, in the Collins Room, Perkins Student Center. The deadline for registering for the lunchtime lecture is Tuesday, May 10.

Sharon Collison, a nutritionist in private practice, will detail how parents can nurture healthy eating habits while preventing dinnertime arguments that ruin family meals. She’ll go over ways to entice a child to eat enough but not too much, prevent excess weight gain, help an overweight child and make healthier choices for children at restaurants.

To register, visit [www.udel.edu/fsap] or e-mail [jskeen@udel.edu].

Attendees are invited to bring lunch. Beverage and dessert will be provided.
