New students and family invited to reunite on campus While anyone can participate in weekend activities, the focus is on acquainting new students and their parents with what is available within the University community. To see a detailed schedule of events with ticket prices, visit [www.udel.edu/parents]. Activities begin at 11 a.m., Friday, with selected works from the Paul R. Jones Collection of African American Art on view until 7 p.m. in Mechanical Hall. The free exhibition also will be open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday. At 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., on Friday, the Blue & Gold Club, 44 Kent Way, offers a buffet dinner with potato leek soup, tossed seasonal greens with balsamic vinaigrette, Nantucket-baked salmon with brandied shrimp sauce, coconut-crusted chicken with pineapple mango-chutney sauce, penne pasta a la vodka with assorted grilled vegetables, lyonnaise potatoes, fresh vegetable medley and assorted desserts. For those who prefer a more physically active evening, UDs Fred Rust Ice Arena offers open skating, with skate rentals, for students, parents and family members from 8-10 p.m., Friday. Sunday opens with two brunches--one from 10 a.m.-noon at the Blue & Gold Club, and the other, Brunch-University Style, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Kent, Rodney, Russell and Pencader dining halls.
