New recruitment form goes online July 5

2:10 p.m., June 21, 2005--Departments filling new or existing positions will be able to use web-based recruitment forms beginning Tuesday, July 5. As of that date, paper forms will no longer be processed.

The new form can be found online in the web forms directory, as “HR Request to Recruit.” Training sessions will be held from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, June 27-30.

Richie Holland, human resources manager, said the new form will increase efficiency in managing the search processes, cut down on the need to use campus mail and messengers and save paper.

“As with other web forms, the originator will be able to track the recruitment process by checking the status of the form in their out-basket. The printer-friendly version captures all components of the search from start to finish including position, search committee, advertising, applicant pool and offer data,” he said.

It will be the only form used for faculty, professional staff, salaried staff, hourly staff, limited-term researchers, postdoctoral researchers and postdoctoral fellows positions replacing the personnel requisition, the F/P form, the recruitment summary form (RSF) and the advertising request form.

To attend one of the training sessions, register in advance by sending e-mail to [jocelynt@udel.edu].

Holland urged human resources liaisons and secretaries who are involved in recruitment for their unit to register for and attend one of the training sessions.
